The preschool is now planning its summer program, so please be thinking about whether or not your preschooler, and possibly a new sibling, will be attending.
The summer program will begin June 26—June 30 (for our full time only mini -camp), and then July 3 through Aug 15 for all of our Summer Campers. We have begun to enroll children from the waiting list for summer openings. If you have registered your child for the summer, please remember that we are counting on you for the weeks you have requested. We have staffed according to all of your responses. If you have friends or neighbors interested in the summer program, please invite them to call. We are going to have a blast this summer!
We will have a “mini camp” for full day kids only from June 26-June 30. If you decide to take the summer off, we will fill those spots with incoming siblings and new preschoolers. You won’t lose your spot for September.

This assistance is available ONLY for families entering Kindergarten-8th Grade in September 2017; awards will not be given to children enrolling in Preschool in September 2017.

Getting pretty cold out there? Imagine for a moment being hungry and homeless in this cold. We know how busy this time of year, but please consider taking a few minutes of family time and help your child learn more about sharing and loving others during the Christmas Season. It would be wonderful if you could help your child find one used warm jacket or sweater to bring to school for someone less fortunate.
Every day, St. Mary’s Church has families come to them for food and emergency clothing…not just men, but women and children as well. We will deliver your donations of warm outerwear to the Parish Office every day. You may make the difference in someone’s life today.
Thank you so much for caring – may God bless us all!
A brief look at your children’s first months of school will be coming home at the end of the month. This will just be a quick description of their favorite things to do at school so far, and how they are adjusting to their classroom surroundings. All school conferences will be scheduled in May, but teacher meetings are available at any time. Your child’s teacher is always just a phone call away!
St. Mary, Star of the Sea School invites you to help raise money by turning in quarters, nickels or dimes during the month of October! Take a close look around your home…in the laundry, between seat cushions, just about anywhere.
*Please do not bring in pennies or dollar bills; remember this is silver pumpkin*
Coins are to be turned in to your teacher. Our school is raising money to benefit the Garden of Joy. Thank you as always for helping to support our school!
