Exploring the Wonders of God’s World
Our program is designed to meet the individual interests and needs of young children. The following learning centers are carefully planned and prepared to provide opportunities for your child to explore, communicate, and discover through play.
Child-sized furniture, real props, and opportunities to role-play result in the practice of social and language skills.
Block Area
Tucked away from the traffic of little feet, this area contains blocks and a variety of accessories that stimulate a child’s imagination and encourage planning, problem solving, and cooperation.
Library Center
This is a cozy and comfortable place to read and be read to. A life-long love for books and reading begins with the first magical story.
Everything a child creates is part of him or her, and therefore deserves respect and acceptance. The art area is a place where every child can feel successful. Easels, paints, paper, and writing as well as drawing equipment of all kinds are always available.
Prayer Center
A special place in each classroom is prepared to remind children of God’s presence in their classroom and their daily lives. Each week, a different message relating God to the weekly theme is presented in the center.
Fine Motor/Manipulative Center
This area includes puzzles, cooperative games, math and science experiences, and fine motor development activities. By classifying, sorting, manipulating, and matching prepared materials in this area, a child develops hand-eye coordination, and problem solving skills.
Writing Center
Classrooms are equipped with writing centers. The writing centers are prepared with writing materials and activities to inspire young children to practice fine motor skills and become interested in the written word.
